About

Hello! You are currently visiting GollyGolly.com, since you are here I suppose you know that already. What does GollyGolly mean you might ask? Well, this is something my two year old says pretty regularly around our home. I have no idea where he learned this word, we do live in the Georgia but that doesn’t mean we go around saying things like “Good Golly” all day long. In fact, until he started saying it, I don’t think I have ever uttered the word in my life. He (my son whom I will refer to from time to time as A) may not even know that it is a real word. That does not stop him from saying it all the time, usually over and over again, as loud and as fast as he can. Try shouting it out fast a dozen times, that jumble of sounds your mouth begins to make is the humor that has become GollyGolly.com.

I use this site as a place to organize my thoughts, humorous notes, things I find on the internet that I need to keep track of, interesting news, and of course updates on A (and my husband J). You never know what you may find in this little piece of the world, but expect it to amuse you, and to be worth the visit.

If you leave a comment here know that I will read it, and will visit your site if you leave a link to it. I don’t always comment on what I read across the web, but know that I came. I expect the same from you, comments are always welcome but don’t feel that you have to leave anything. I appreciate your visit, and hope you do it often.
Here is a page explaining all of the wonderful tools I used to make this website:

Just three of the many faces of our trip to the zoo. Click the thumbnails to enlarge. Oh, and that is popcorn he is eating, stale zoo concession popcorn.

Fractal art. I have this in a pretty large size if anyone is interested in using it for wallpaper. I really love this one, several fractals were used, as well as a "jewel" I created in photoshop.

My son A, has been starting to write the alphabet, mostly the letter A. I think he started with a good letter because of course it's the first in the alphabet and the first of his name. I will be making a lengthy post soon about why this confuses me. I don't know at what age children start writing, but I know it isn't 2, so this is yet another sign that he is pretty ahead of himself (at least we think so).
