Squidfingers / Patterns

Wed, February 7, 2007

I have been meaning to link here since the creation of this website, but haven’t gotten around to it. Since I am far too busy to write anything real today at least you can see the fine work on this portfolio site. The patterns are amazing, the best I have found anywhere. You may find the background I use here as a familiar one. Looking through this again I can’t help but love them all, and think I will try another out soon.

Cut and fold a A4 size sheet of paper to make these fun creations. This would be such a fun project to make for/with your kids. They are so creative and artistic also. I can’t wait to give them a try.

Designfruit is the amazing website and portfolio of Jason Gaylor.

Just one example of the fantastic photoshop brushes made by Jason Gaylor of Designfruit

Japanese Foliage - Jason Gaylor

He has been providing free high-resolution photoshop brushes for some time now, and I couldn’t be more thrilled. I have used his work in the creation of a few of my websites now. His latest set of brushes is my favorite “Japanese Foliage”. I cannot tell you how long I have been looking for something like this. I would go visit his blog and treat yourself to some quality photoshop swag to play around with and be amazed with what you can come up with.

Beautiful Illustration, and inspiring ideas at Crust Station.

Bella Pilar « Crust Station
“January is a time for reflection, renewal. After all the shopping (pre & post Christmas) and partying, it’s time to relax, with some meditation and detox perhaps? Cozy up and enjoy a café moment with friends.

Bella Pilar’s (1972) whimsical feminine watercolor illustrations take a traditional medium and push it to a fresh, pretty new place. Her strong ties to fashion began with work in visual display and a career as a make-up artist before going on to her true love, illustration.”
